The Barn at Sabot Hill

The barn was built around 1850, and originally owned by James Seddon, who was the Secretary of the Confederacy. It was used as his stable. During Dahlgren’s Raid, the barn was burned and the original roof was destroyed. You can still see the charred brick on the second floor of the structure. The roof was rebuilt, shortly after the war, or late 19th century. Subsequently the Reed family owned the property, and modified the barn interior. The property is now owned by our clients and friends, David and Marnie Williams. Ridgeline Construction, Inc restored it for them for use as an art studio, and relaxing space.
